First off let me say that I've been on a 2+years search for a similar feeling string as Bab. PHT 16. PHT was my first poly that I ever used and I fell in love. However I developed a bad case of TE which was due to bad technique that i was not aware of at the time and the price was too expensive. I then started looking for alternatives which had me playing copolys like tourna bhs, topspin cyber blue, goldenset snake bite, Discho Iontec, Red Devil, Black Code ,Mosquito Bite and finally found BIG T from the Talk Tennis forum! I can confidently say that Ichiban is so close to PHT other than it being twisted that my search is finally over. If you haven't played PHT than think of this string as a spin friendly, control oriented, arm friendly all arounder with a reasonable amount of power I'd say on par with Red Devil.. Baseline bashing, short angles, touch shots all on point. I strung mine at 55/53 in Prince O3 White. Two straight days of heavy hitting and no elbow issues.
