I prefer to use "power" strings in the crosses and "spin" strings in the mains. Using a thinner gauge spin string in the mains gives playability, feel, and control. Using the power string, Energy, in the crosses gives the whole bed a balanced feel. Energy in a full bed was too much power for my friend. He was hitting the tarp in the beginning. He liked the string but said it needed some spin. I'll be giving him Hexaspin Twist 1.20mm for his mains. That should fix things.

Polystar Energy

Energy makes for a good main string, hybrid with your favorite syn gut. I like it with Forten Sweet. Strung @ 49/53 in a mid+ 18/20 frame. Good for about 8 hours. Has a nice "plush" feel but you get spin and control as well. Lately I have also been trying it as the mains in a all poly hybrid. (use a soft playing thinner gauge poly for your crosses and lower your tension some more).Still a large sweet spot not quite as fat feeling but some additional control. Polystar Energy is a proven value.
